[STEAM × Chinese Culture]
Bringing traditional Chinese wisdom into the modern AI technology classroom
Cardy Tech is committed to providing top-quality interdisciplinary STEAM education programmes for primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong. Our "Chinese Herbal Medicine Control Experiment × AI Experience" course breaks out of the one-way teaching model of the traditional classroom. Through hands-on learning, students compare hydroponics with traditional soil planting for themselves and use an AI platform for data collection and model training, experiencing the deep combination of technology and Chinese culture.

Students transplant Chinese herbal seedlings (such as mint) themselves, set up hydroponic and soil planting equipment in groups, and use sensors to record data and observe growth changes.

Using a self-developed or partner AI platform, students photograph and train their own AI model, experiencing for themselves how an "AI herbal dispenser" recognises herbal tea ingredients sold on the market.

Drawing on stories such as "Shennong Tasting a Hundred Herbs" and the idea of the Five Elements, students make herbal sachets, enjoy a tea-tasting experience and blend herbal tea packs, learning about the wisdom of herbal wellness.

Experiment data is turned into bar charts and line charts, building mathematics and data visualisation skills. Finally, poster-making and group presentations strengthen communication and teamwork skills.
Rich experience in large-scale school events · A strong cross-sector partnership network
The Cardy Tech team has rich experience in school workshops and in coordinating large-scale STEAM learning days and culture days, with proper arrangements from lesson design and equipment preparation to on-site management.
We have built close partnerships with many primary and secondary schools and tertiary institutions across Hong Kong, partners in the Cyberport ecosystem and professional cultural organisations (such as Hong Kong tea art experts and traditional craft groups). Through this strong cross-sector network of resources, we bring schools the most professional and forward-looking interdisciplinary learning experiences.
